research

iIrecently did my presentation for the tutors and other class mates outlining what I will be focusing on throughout my masters project. Before that over christmas time I had a lot of technical problems as my hard drive broke and needed to be replaced, resulting in me loosing a lot of my work, such as animation cycles etc that I had done over the past few months.
recently i have started to focus on gathering information about women in games, I have found a particualaly good site which is hosted by women in the games industry where they discuss current topics. they also host conventions once a year where anyone is allowed to listen to the debates about women in games, unfortunatly the price of this years event which is held in bradford is £125 for a day pass, and I cant afford that.
However on the website their are the presentations themselves from preivious conventions available to download, (the conventions have been taking place since 2004 to the present). so it gives me some really good contempery topics to look into, aswell as links and emails to people who could assist me further.
Their is also a message board I have joined that is part of the women in games website where people are free to discuss these issues, so it gives me an outlet to ask my own questions and get a more varied and academic response to some of my questions and concerns.
